The
Artistree would like to welcome you to our 21st Annual Open
House, and our second year
at the East Vassalboro Grange, Main Street
in East Vassalboro Maine!
We received resounding approval during and after the 2007 show. The
charm of the building,
the lighting, and yes, the hot mulled cider, all helped to contribute
to a warm and inviting environment
in which to chat, shop, listen to music, and get oneself into the
holiday spirit!
"Our show this year is dedicated to
Melanie Dumont, our friend and fellow Artistree Artisan who
passed away on October 22, 2008. Melanie will forever be a shining
example of harmony and unity,
a kindred spirit who will continue to inspire us with her creativity
and her passion for life."
Please
note the 15 returning artisans including Hilary Dudley (watercolor
artist), and
Wally Trott (wood carver), who each took a year sabbatical in 2007,
and are back with us this year.
Also 6 new members have been added to our Artistree Family, including
Colleen Higgins
(aromatherapy rice bags & designs), Jackie Julia (primitives &
folk art), June Nelson
(florals & ornaments), Regina Oliver (basketry), Erin Towns (jewelry),
and
Deb Winkley (sewing and fleece wear).
We
have the photography of Barbara Tobey, a feature guest accredited
for her skill and an eye for
artistry behind the camera. Barbara did the work on the Artistree
postcard the past 2 years and
we feel blessed that she has helped us with a beautiful presentation.
Other
feature artists for 2008 include Sandra Palmer Fish (children's book
author), and
Janet & Al Music (quilts & wall hangings).
We
