Welcome
22nd Annual Artistree Holiday Open House
Mark your calendars for November 26th, 27th, and 28th, 2010
The Belgrade Community Center for All Seasons is a wonderous and art inspiring site for our 22nd Annual Artistree Artisans Christmas Show and Sale. For the three day Thanksgiving weekend we will feature 28 returning and 9 new juried Artists and Artisans, local musicians and authors, door prize gifts from each Artisan, and refreshments that will kindle pleasing sights and sounds in the spirit of the season. Make Artistree part of your Christmas tradition.
Returning Artists include Sandy Nutting, Kim Haskell, and Greer Stevens. New Artisans this year are Sherry Cennamo (fabric purses and totes), Janet Lockhart (stained glass), Carole Evans (pottery), Charlene Frost (papercraft and candy), Betsey-Ann Golon (Common Folk Farm Herbs), Peggi Loveless (quilted gifts), Wendy Morgan (kitchen textiles and wood), Jennifer Shaw (felted art), and Doreen Swain (pressed flower cards). We continue to showcase the photography of Barbara Tobey, our featured guest who has been accredited for her skill and artistry behind the camera. Barbara has designed our Artistree postcard for the past 4 years.
Our show would not be whole without music. Simmons and Goodwin, Katie Daggett Webber, The Gawler Family, and Messalonskee Music directed by Kevin and Pam Rhein will enhance the shopping experience. Please check schedules for times and dates during the weekend.
We would like to dedicate our 2010 Artistree Show to our friend and artist Paula Green. Paula died March 21, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. An Artistree member for several years, founder of Peagreen Designs, and founding partner of the Downtown Gallery in Washington, Maine. Her graphic designs celebrate life, love of animals, and the grace and power of womanhood. Her spirit lives on in her work. She is greatly missed.
